Stop Bullying: Stand Up and Tell Someone Poster by 17005SKAILA Stop Bullying: Stand Up and Tell Someone Poster by 17005SKAILA
Check out my very first documentary here: youtu.be/9cNSU2mwAps

I made a documentary two years ago and since one of my new goals is to focus more on my online presence, it's about time that I formally introduce myself to you guys.
Yes, I'm a filmmaker and I'm happy to share this documentary I made in 8th grade. (it's been two years already?!!!)

Here's the basic summary:
"In January 2012, students at St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School in Bronx, New York, under the leadership of their valedictorian and director, Skaila Pyatt, worked together to stand against the issue of bullying. The documentary of their experience, along with two actual short PSAs that they worked on were screened on their graduation day and is now available to all.

In this short documentary PSA, STA's Class of 2012 speaks out against the cruelties of bullying. Watch interviews, auditions, and rehearsals of each student as they grow together in this act of service.

PSAs written, directed, and filmed by Skaila Pyatt
Behind the Scenes footage filmed by John Pyatt
Short film edited by Skaila Pyatt
**News clip in beginning of film from Pix11 Morning News. No copyright infringement intended."

This piece would be perfect for a project we are developing -- an online gallery for artists who have been bullied or who explore the theme of bullying in their work. It's called the You Will Rise Project. Check it out here: youwillriseproject.com and read the "Submit Work" section for details about sharing your work on our site. Thanks!

Thank you for telling me about your project! I am incredibly honored that you would like my work as a submission (and I have submitted) and I ought to say that the project in itself is a great idea to spread positivity through art!
